DJ Toxxyk
Shema Arnaud, better known as DJ TOXXYK, is a highly accomplished DJ and music producer whose career spans across East Africa, Europe, the U.S.A., and Canada. Born in Kinshasa and raised in Kigali, DJ TOXXYK’s diverse heritage— he has a Rwandese mother and a half-Chinese, half-Belgian father—has deeply influenced his eclectic sound and global appeal.
Over the years, DJ TOXXYK has earned a reputation for his electrifying performances and innovative sound, sharing stages with global superstars such as Burna Boy, Davido, Major Lazer, and Kendrick Lamar at prestigious events like the Global Citizen Experience: Move Afrika. His debut EP, AYDEN, released in 2022, showcased his versatility as an artist, further solidifying his place in the international music scene.
DJ TOXXYK’s performances at major events like VISIT RWANDA, The BAL, and emPawa Africa have captivated audiences around the world. REY
Rey, born Muhire Emmanuel, is an exceptional Kigali-based photographer passionate about capturing the essence of Rwandan landscapes, culture, and everyday life. His photography journey began in 2015 as a hobbyist, but his talent and dedication quickly transformed his passion into a professional career by 2017. Rey’s work combines artistic expression with commercial expertise, making him a sought-after photographer both nationally and internationally.
His portfolio spans a wide range of projects, from collaborations with renowned brands such as Trace TV, Move Afrika, One&Only Gorilla’s Nest, and Singita, to documenting major events for the Office of the President of Rwanda during the 2024 Presidential campaign. Rey’s work has also been celebrated at international exhibitions, including the HERITAGE & FUTURES Rwanda Canadian Summit in Toronto, where his images captured the beauty and cultural richness of Rwandan life.
